Naseera completed her BSc at the University of Cape Town (UCT) in 2012, majoring in Applied Mathematics, Mathematics and Ocean and Atmospheric Science. In 2013, she completed her BSc (honours) degree in Applied Mathematics. After working away, she returned to UCT in late 2014 and becoming a member of the MARAM group as a Research Assistant. In 2015, she pursued her Masters with MARAM, her thesis involving the krill-predator dynamics of the Antarctic ecosystem.
